The global electronic superstar returns to the ring with an anthemic, emotionally charged new cut, out now on all streaming platforms.
Tokyo, 31 July 2026 – The FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves soundtrack refuses to pull its punches. Following a run of releases from electronic music’s biggest names, the franchise’s genre-blurring original soundtrack lands its next heavy hitter: ‘Pain’, a brand new single from global superstar Alan Walker. Built around a soaring vocal hook and an anthemic, high-impact drop, ‘Pain’ trades blows between raw emotion and the dancefloor; a knockout cut that channels the energy, intensity and emotional stakes at the heart of the Fatal Fury universe.
Combining the emotional vocals of British singer-songwriter Jordan Shaw with Alan Walker’s unmistakable signature sound, ‘Pain’ hits like a perfectly timed combo, a powerful dance record engineered for equal impact in the club and in the chaos of battle. It’s a fitting sonic centerpiece for Season 2 of a soundtrack that has made a habit of pairing the franchise’s genre-defining gameplay with cutting-edge music from the world’s top electronic artists.
Jordan Shaw is one of electronic and pop music’s most in-demand voices and topliners. He broke through with ‘Something Real’, and has since lent his vocals and songwriting to many records. The release also marks Alan Walker’s return to South Town: his 2025 cut ‘Mind of a Warrior’ (with SORANA) was the very first single to launch the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves soundtrack. ‘Pain’ arrives amid a landmark run for the 28-year-old Norwegian artist and producer, whose Walkerworld Tour drew more than 500.000 fans worldwide before wrapping in 2025 with a final show in New York’s Central Park. His most recent album, ‘Walkerworld 2.0’, arrived in January 2025.
With a catalogue surpassing 100 billion audio and video streams and a global following of over 150 million, Alan Walker remains one of electronic music's most commercially successful and internationally recognised artists. With 'Pain', he brings his signature sound and energy to the world of Fatal Fury.
“Following Mind of A Warrior, it was an absolute honor to contribute to the Fatal Fury Season 2 album. I am deeply grateful every time I get the chance to bridge my passions for gaming and music; it brings a unique sense of inspiration and purpose to the things I love most. It was also incredibly exciting to release a track with Jordan; his vocals are truly amazing!” says Alan Walker.
With each new release, the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves soundtrack continues to raise the bar, pairing the franchise’s genre-defining gameplay with cutting-edge music from the world’s top electronic artists. Curated by Salvatore Ganacci, who also appears in-game as a playable fighter, the project honours the legacy of FATAL FURY while pushing its score into uncharted territory. Season 2 got underway with Moontalk’s ‘Sonata’, and ‘Pain’ now steps into the ring as the chapter’s latest heavy hitter.
‘Pain’ by Alan Walker is now available for streaming worldwide.
